Those of us who are lucky enough to have pets normally realize that they do not demand much from us. In return, we get unconditional love from them.

Even when we may ignore them without meaning to; or even lose our temper with them from time to time, they still come back to us with that same unconditional love.

Yet, there are still those who cannot or do not understand the value of the life of their pet. Abuse of all types, from starvation to beatings and even death, happen daily throughout our country without giving the first thought to what kind of pain and anguish that animal is going through.
